General Engineer
Description

Miller Edge, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, solutions-driven General Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of electro-mechanical products. This role combines technical problem-solving, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration, offering the opportunity to work on real-world engineering challenges from concept through customer support. Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Problem-solving: Analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions, considering factors such as cost, safety, environmental impact, and functionality.
  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Design and Development: Create engineering designs, models, and prototypes, utilizing software tools and advanced technologies to bring ideas to life.
  • Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry advancements, conduct research, and explore emerging technologies to improve existing processes and create new  products.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, designers, and technicians, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant industry regulations, codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation to communicate engineering concepts, results, and recommendations effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process and product improvement, proposing and implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Technical Support. Assist customers with questions regarding installation and function of Miller Edge products.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  2. Specialization: Working knowledge of electro-mechanical design and assembly.
  3. Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify and address engineering and manufacturing processes/challenges effectively.
  4. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in relevant engineering software, tools, and techniques, depending on the specific job requirements.
  5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical information  clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  6. Project Management: Experience in managing engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  7. Adaptability: Ability to work in  a dynamic environment and quickly learn and apply new skills as needed for different projects.
  8. Professionalism: Ethical conduct  and commitment to maintaining high engineering standards and practices.
  9. Computer Skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, other general office environment programs.


Salary Description
$65,000 a year
