Porter / Groundskeeper

Seeking a dependable and detail-focused Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of our apartment community. This position is vital to supporting leasing efforts and providing residents with a well-maintained and welcoming living environment. We are committed to maintaining high standards of excellence.

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor and/or Property Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas including grounds, walkways, parking lots, pool area, amenities, and community buildings.

• Remove trash and debris from the property on a daily basis, including cleaning around dumpsters and in breezeways.

• Assist with unit trash-outs and cleaning in vacant units to prepare them for market readiness.

• Support maintenance staff by delivering supplies and assisting in light maintenance tasks as needed.

• Report any safety or maintenance issues observed during daily duties.

• Assist with seasonal responsibilities including snow removal (if applicable) and exterior upkeep.

• Help maintain excellent curb appeal at all times.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in janitorial, pool maintenance, groundskeeping, or general maintenance is preferred.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor.

• Must be neat, clean, and professional in appearance at all times.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation per property needs.

• Must pass background check and drug screening.

• Ability to work independently and follow instruction.

• Fair Housing certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
