While this is a Director-level role with strategic and leadership responsibilities, it is also a hands-on position. The Consulting Director is expected to be deeply involved in research execution — from designing methodologies to conducting interviews and developing final deliverables.
The Consulting Director will lead the design, execution, and analysis of healthcare-focused research studies for assigned client accounts. This role requires guiding project teams, contributing to corporate initiatives, and may require managing junior team members. The Consulting Director is expected to cultivate strong client relationships, drive strategic discussions, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Research & Project Responsibilities
- Independently designs survey instruments and discussion guides that effectively address client business objectives, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of survey methodologies.
- Executes a variety of advanced research methods including quantitative techniques (e.g., conjoint analysis, segmentation) and qualitative approaches (e.g., structured messaging, journey mapping) with minimal support.
- Conducts high-stakes in-depth interviews and focus groups, demonstrating advanced moderation skills.
- Independently analyzes and creates comprehensive reporting plans that accurately reflect findings.
- Collaborates with Client Strategists and ties together disparate data sources to generate insightful reports/presentations, with a focus on clear storytelling and actionable recommendations.
- Contributes to the development of innovative methodologies and research approaches that enhance service offerings.
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of company/department processes to facilitate collaboration and consistently deliver high-quality work.
Develop Client Service Skills
- Engages in active listening with clients to ensure a clear understanding of their business objectives and long-term strategies.
- Drives thought-provoking, consultative discussion regarding engagement objectives and tactical project scope with Client Strategists.
- Proactively identifies and escalates client/project risks with Client Strategists
- May serve as the project lead on assigned studies, leading discussions, presenting findings, and providing strategic insights.
- Understands and adapts to different clients’ personalities, working styles, and business contexts, establishing trusted advisor status.
- Participate in proposal brain-storming meetings to offer ideas and gains exposure to proposal development
- Mentoring opportunities with a Client Strategist to build aforementioned client service skills

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (business, psychology, economics, mathematics, social sciences)
- 5+ years of professional service experience in a qualitative or quantitative-focused market research role.
- 3+ years conducting research within the pharma/biotech industry
Information Security Management
The individual in this role is responsible for maintaining compliance with the KJT Group Information Security Policy and all other policies, processes, and documentation related to information security within KJT Group.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, including specific strength in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with the Adobe Acrobat Suite of tools.
- High degree of comfort with videoconferencing and desktop-sharing software (i.e., Zoom, Teams)
- Willingness to learn and use new platforms/programs.
