St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in West Dundee is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic First Grade Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 School Year.  If you have a passion for primary education and want to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant, faith-based community, this is the perfect opportunity for you! 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Curriculum Development:  Implement engaging lessons for core subjects (especially reading) while integrating Catholic values and fostering a respectful environment. 
• Skill Development:   Monitor progress against 1st-grade milestones, manage the classroom effectively, and maintain proactive communication with parents. 
• Safety & Environment: Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Evaluate, document, and report student progress.
• Faith Integration: Promote Catholic teachings in lessons and participate in required faith formation

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education/Certification:  Bachelor’s degree and a valid teaching license. 
• Experience:  Bachelor’s degree and a valid teaching license. 
• Compliance: Ability to pass criminal background checks and comply with diocesan Safe Environment policies

Job Summary: 

• Position: Full Time, First Grade Homeroom Teacher.  
• Pay rate range: Salary Range from $33,000 to $45,000.   Based on Experience
• Benefits:  Rockford of Diocese Benefits PDF 
• Dates: Starting August 11, 2026 and follows School Schedule.  

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Requires the ability to lift to 25 lbs.
• Works well in a team setting
