The Government Sales Consultant is responsible for identifying and growing all areas of revenue for our government sales channels with a heavy focus on the sale of products to Veteran Hospitals via FSS Contracts, as well as the coordination of “installed sales” through Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Businesses (VOSB)
- Travel to VA’s to meet with key people to increase Harmar sales volume
- Assist Territory team selling product & warranty benefit
- Maintain positive sales growth for letter of supply holders
- Work with dealer teams to win over dealers supporting competition as identified through FOIA
- Monitor FOIA data sales activity and create target accounts to course correct
- Create sales training material for VA Sales Team
- Create and publish personalized newsletter to SDVOSB/ VOSBs and LOS dealers quarterly
- Create monthly account sales trending reports to manage and communicate sales activity
- Create new sales tools to best communicate our market leveraging advantages
- Participate in regional and national VA shows supporting Harmar and its partners
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- 5+ years of previous procurement or contracting experience.
- Working knowledge of FSS or GSA contracts.
- Previously worked at VAMC in Prosthetics or Contracting, a plus
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree, preferred
- Knowledge of SalesForce.com CRM system, a plus
