Position Overview:

The Data Analytics Intern will support OCHIN’s analytics and reporting initiatives by helping collect, clean, analyze, and visualize healthcare and operational data. This internship offers hands-on experience working with healthcare datasets, dashboards, and business intelligence tools while contributing to projects that improve patient outcomes and organizational decision-making.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist in cleaning, validating, and organizing datasets for analysis  
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI  
  • Support SQL querying and data extraction tasks  
  • Analyze trends and prepare summaries for internal stakeholders  
  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research, operations, and clinical staff  
  • Document analytical processes and findings  
  • Help identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency 
  •  Participate in meetings and present analytical insights when needed  
  • Other duties as assigned   
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer  Science, Statistics, Public Health, Health Informatics or a related field  
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks 
  •  Experience with Python or R preferred  
  • Familiarity with healthcare data or electronic health records (EHR) highly preferred  
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools preferred   
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. Base Pay Overview 

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
