Industrial Cleaner
Description

SUMMARY: The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of all property and production assets, including facility grounds. Sanitation technicians follow the direction of the sanitation foreman, and ultimately the Food Safety Manager.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using man lift to reach ceiling, cleans warehouse ceilings
  • Using man lift to power-wash warehouse ceilings and ripening rooms 
  • Replenishes necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Sweeps floors and keeps the area free of debris
  • Operates floor scrubbing machine if necessary
  • Operates power wash when necessary
  • Uses chemicals according to company guidelines and safe practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Monday - Friday 6-2:30pm

Requirements

TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Must be able to read and write in English. Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubbing machine, man lift and power washer preferred. Must be self-motivated, willing to work in cold environments, and demonstrate the ability to understand and follow safety and food safety policies and procedures. Must be willing to work in with a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold, and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb in a safety cage to wash warehouse ceilings. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
