Part-Time Medical Director – Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – West Columbia, South Carolina

Ally Psychiatry is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Part-Time Medical Director for our behavioral health team in West Columbia.

This part-time Medical Director psychiatry opportunity offers a flexible schedule within a supportive residential treatment facility environment focused on high-quality child and adolescent psychiatric care. The role includes daily rounding responsibilities, clinical leadership, collaboration with experienced PMHNPs and multidisciplinary behavioral health teams, and strong administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Medical Director overseeing psychiatric clinical care and treatment quality 
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for child and adolescent patients 
  • Perform daily inpatient psychiatric rounding 
  • Attend treatment team twice weekly
  • Collaborate with PMHNPs, therapists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams 
  • Supervise and support advanced practice providers as needed 
  • Support program growth, clinical quality initiatives, and behavioral health operations 
  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation 
  • Promote patient-centered behavioral healthcare and continuity of care

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist 
  • Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred or eligible 
  • South Carolina medical license or ability to obtain licensure 
  • Leadership experience or interest in Medical Director responsibilities preferred 
  • Strong interest in inpatient child and adolescent behavioral healthcare
