The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and increasing revenue within an assigned territory. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives that support the profitability and success of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue within the assigned territory.
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and self-driven lead generation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage sales pipelines, track performance, and maintain accurate records.
- Identify market opportunities and support territory expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations, production, and distribution teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular sales reporting.
- Represent the company professionally while promoting long-term customer partnerships.
- 3+ years of outside sales experience preferred
- Experience within building materials, construction products, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries strongly preferred
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow customer relationships within a territory-based sales environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
