Position Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG welding, with experience in machine maintenance and setup. This position requires working with various metals, including Galvannealed, CRS, HRS, Stainless, and other materials of varying thicknesses. TIG welding experience, particularly with Aluminum TIG and Aluminum Spool Gun, is a plus. The role also requires a strong attention to detail, familiarity with Lean 5S practices, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.


Job Functions:


· Perform MIG welding on a variety of metals, including Galvannealed, CRS, HRS, Stainless, and other metals of varying thicknesses.

· Set up and maintain welding machines, ensuring proper functionality and readiness for production.

· TIG welding experience is a plus, especially with aluminum TIG and aluminum spool gun.

· Follow all safety protocols associated with welding and fabrication, including the handling of hazardous materials and equipment.

· Change gas tanks and ensure the correct gases are used for specific welding tasks.

· Operate forklifts for material handling (preferred).

· Use hand tools associated with welding and fabrication, such as grinders, cutting wheels, and plasma cutters.

· Interpret blueprints and weld symbols to ensure the proper execution of welds and fabrication processes.

· Maintain a strong attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring quality and precision in welds and finished parts.

· Follow Lean 5S practices, maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace that supports overall productivity and safety.

· Ensure cleanliness of work area by consistently cleaning up after tasks, keeping tools and equipment in their designated locations, and adhering to 5S principles for improved organization and efficiency.


Skills:


· Proficient in MIG welding techniques, with a solid understanding of welding principles and materials.

· Strong background in machine maintenance and setup for welding equipment.

· Experience working with Galvannealed, CRS, HRS, Stainless, and other metals of various thicknesses.

· TIG welding experience is a plus, particularly in aluminum.

· Familiar with safety protocols and the use of protective gear in a welding environment.

· Ability to interpret prints and weld symbols with attention to detail.

· Forklift experience preferred but not required.

· Ability to change gas tanks and ensure the proper handling of welding gases.

· Comfortable using a variety of hand tools, including grinders, cutting wheels, and plasma cutters.

· Familiarity with Lean 5S principles and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

 Qualifications:


· High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

· Forklift certification preferred.

· Ability to lift and move materials, equipment, and tools up to 50 lbs.

Salary Description
$24 - $28 Per Hour Based on Experience
