Warehouse Inventory Specialist
Description

Serving Arkansas with excellence for over 50 years, Klaasmeyer Construction Company is looking our next Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join the Business Operations team. In this position, you will be the person field crews count on to have their materials staged, accurate, and ready to go.

Requirements

What You'll Be Doing

  • Receiving inbound materials and verifying quantities, specs, and condition against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Issuing materials to field crews by job number — with full documentation on every transaction, no exceptions
  • Staging materials ahead of crew mobilization so jobs start without material delays
  • Running cycle counts and keeping physical inventory aligned with system records
  • Monitoring stock levels and notifying the Warehouse Manager when materials approach reorder thresholds
  • Keeping the yard organized, labeled, and stored correctly so materials stay in good condition
  • Operating forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and stage materials safely
  • Documenting all material movement in the inventory management system — receipts, issues, returns, and transfers

What We Need From You

  • 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, yard, or construction material handling role
  • Comfortable working with inventory tracking systems, mobile tools, or ERP platforms — or willing to learn
  • Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • Able to read purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and job material lists
  • Detail-oriented and organized — you notice when something's off and you follow through to fix it
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Experience with telecom, utility, or fiber optic construction materials is a plus
  • Viewpoint Vista experience is a plus

The Physical Reality

This is a hands-on yard role. You'll be on your feet, moving materials, operating a forklift, and working outside in all weather conditions. It's physical work and it's detail work — you need to be good at both.

  • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 75 lbs. with assistance
  • Standing and walking throughout the yard and warehouse all day
  • Regular forklift and pallet jack operation
  • Outdoor yard work in heat, cold, rain, and wind
  • Bending, kneeling, and reaching to count, stage, and retrieve materials
