The selected candidate will join an integrated Data Science team who is actively working various client projects as well as developing, testing, deploying and supporting tools in various operating environments. We desire a candidate who has:
- Familiarity with CI/CD deployment processes and automated testing.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Technical proficiency with Python.
- Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written. Works well in team environment.
- Ability to conduct detailed, annotated research.
- Familiarity with Natural Language Processing tools.
- Recent experience working in a remote/virtual environment with reliable internet connectivity and appropriate bandwidth for development-related projects.
- An understanding of basic computer science, statistical concepts, and principles of artificial intelligence.
The ideal candidate will have a working understanding or practical experience working within established environments, contributing to automation, security integration, and platform reliability. The selected candidate will interface with technical leaders in their specialized areas and oriented to a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) engineering approach. Some representative tasks could include:
- CI/CD Pipeline Support: Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
- Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and deployment processes.
- Implement security tools (container scanning) within pipelines.
- Support deployment and operation of applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of Helm charts.
- Support vulnerability remediation efforts by analyzing scan results and implementing fixes without causing regressions.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Apply secure configuration practices across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Assist with implementing Kubernetes security controls (RBAC, secrets management, image policies).
- Assist in configuring secure cloud environments (IAM roles, network security groups, encryption).
- Support secrets management using tools such as AWS Secrets Manager or Azure Key Vault.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with web protocols, Linux/Unix tools and architecture a plus.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Weaviate a plus.
- Experience with automation, testing, or framework development a plus.
- Experience with data science toolkits a plus.
- Knowledge of military organizations, missions and equipment sets is also a plus.
Education and Certifications:
- Must have completed one or more years of undergraduate studies with a major in any Information Technology related field (data science, software engineering, computer science, etc.) or another relevant academic field combined with related job experience.
Technical Projects:
- Include short synopsis of any active or recent technically relevant projects to the resume for submission.
