Commercial Ag Loan Closer

POSITION SUMMARY:

Prepare, review, and evaluate all commercial and agricultural loan requests for compliance to policy. Key all loan data requested into the loan documentation system. Assemble loan documents and review for accuracy before forwarding the closing package on to the loan officers and/or loan assistants. 


OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:

  • Provide outstanding internal and external customer service
  • Other loan processing projects as assigned
  • Perform other clerical duties as requested
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as requested

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review all commercial and agriculture loan requests for compliance to loan policy
  • Prepare all commercial and agriculture loan closing documents
  • Prepare commercial and agricultural modifications
  • Log commercial and agricultural information on excel spreadsheets and word documents
  • Log items in the QC database


Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years banking and/ or loan experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Excellent communication, customer service, organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience in using Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of handling customer and teammate contact situations tactfully and professionally
  • General knowledge of bank operations, lending, and information technology

COMPLIANCE:

  • As generally applicable to F&M Bank and commensurate with these job functions, this job role includes accountabilities for following Bank policies and related procedures, as well as regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulations, and related guidance.
  • Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act. Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
