About the Position:
Schaumburg Christian School (SCS) is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as dean of students for the Daniel Building while also supporting fundraising efforts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Fundraising Experience
- Student discipline experience
- CDL preferred but not required
Spiritual Qualifications:
- Must be a confessing and practicing Christian in a church of like faith
- Must be an exemplary Christian role model
- Must uphold SCS’s spiritual and academic mission and philosophy of education
- Willing to speak or lead chapels
Skills & Attributes
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a visionary leader with a strong work ethic
- Connect SCS athletic programs to the community at large.
- Ability to schedule events
- Ability to assist or create good marketing campaigns

Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and enforce the policies of the Student and Athletic Handbooks to maintain a structured and respectful environment.
- Track student demerits and implement disciplinary consequences in alignment with SCS policies.
- Proactively assist staff in handling student discipline issues, offering guidance and intervention strategies.
- Regularly visit classrooms and meet with staff to support student behavior and classroom management.
- Lead and/or support student engagement initiatives, including spirit days, student council, leadership development, and service groups.
- Communicate regularly with parents, students, faculty, counselors, and administration regarding student concerns and necessary interventions.
- Provide reports to the administration on student behavior trends, interventions, and discipline outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive school culture.
- Assist in integrating and maintaining Biblical Counseling principles and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) practices throughout the student experience to ensure students feel heard, valued, and supported.
- Work collaboratively with faculty, counselors, and families to address the heart of the student, emphasizing restoration, growth, and Christ-centered transformation.
- Promote a culture where discipline is approached through discipleship, guiding students toward biblical truth, personal responsibility, and spiritual maturity.
