#1 Cochran, the largest and most recognized automotive retailer in Southwestern Pennsylvania, is seeking a Human Resource Associate at our corporate offices located in Monroeville. This is a contract assignment, with conversion to full-time employment based on the needs of the organization and the performance of the successful candidate possible.
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resources department.

Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and team members relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc., and refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Performs daily HR data-entry tasks and filing
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Provides clerical support to the HR department
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and onboarding
- Assists with planning and execution of dedicated events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Senior HR Management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent people skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Tech savvy and willing to learn innovative technologies and HRIS systems. Paylocity or similar HRIS experience a huge plus
- Strong work ethic with desire to flourish in a collaborative team-based culture
Education and Experience:
- BA or associate’s degree in human resources required
- Prior office related or human resources clerical experience preferred

- Ability to work in conditions associated with an automotive dealership
- This position requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and will involve standing and walking
- This position will require the ability to push, pull, stoop, reach and grasp
- This position requires repetitive motion – primarily typing and keying in claims information
- This position requires the ability to see, talk and hear
