Advanced Pain Care is hiring a Transportation Coordinator, to assist with the scheduling of patient transportation to and from APC locations.
Job purpose
- Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients undergoing procedures at the ASC, and surgical post op appointments.
- Schedule patient rides through the Uber Health online dashboard.
- Document transportation details and scheduled pickup times accurately within the Athena system.
- Conduct reminder calls/text to patients the day prior to their scheduled transportation.
- Monitor and respond promptly to transportation-related emails.
- Actively monitor the Uber Health dashboard for no-shows, delays, or ride issues and contact patients to confirm ongoing transportation needs.
- Run weekly reports to verify that all eligible patients scheduled in Athena are appropriately scheduled within the Uber Health system.
- Manage and respond to all four ASC Uber Health communication chats throughout the day, alongside the occasional clinic chat needs.
- Coordinate discharge transportation for ASC patients by arranging rides home promptly at the time of discharge.
- Answer phone calls from patients, and internal calls regarding transportation concerns.
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Upkeep of spreadsheets
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Qualifications
Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED, and current CPR or BLS certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Current driver’s license and clean record is required.
Experience: One or more years in a healthcare setting and/or transportation, front office, and scheduling experience preferred

Physical Conditions:
· Must be able to work as scheduled – typically business hours are 8:00 – 5:00 M-F
· Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
· Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch
· Must be able to lift and move boxes and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
· Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment, etc.
