Description

Under the direction of the Clinical Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant provides high-quality clinical support across all phases of patient care — from diagnostics through treatment — while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
As a key member of our clinical team, you will:
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including rooming, vitals, and history intake as directed
- Assist providers and nursing staff during fertility-related exams and procedures
- Provide patient education as delegated, including pre and post-visit instructions
- Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and dignity at all times
- Prepare exam, ultrasound, and procedure rooms according to clinic standard operating procedures
- Set up and break down equipment and supplies using sterility and infection control protocols
- Assist with pelvic exams, ultrasounds, IUIs, egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and other procedures as trained and authorized
- Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and transport per protocol
- Perform phlebotomy once trained, competent, and authorized by clinic policy
- Accurately document patient care tasks and patient information as applicable
- Assist with inventory management and supply stocking
- Support clinic workflow efficiency and scheduling processes as directed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, embryology, and administrative team
- Participate in daily huddles, staff meetings, training sessions, and competency assessments

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain within designated timeframe
- 2+ years of phlebotomy and clinical patient care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fertility, OB/GYN, women's health or surgical clinic setting
- Experience assisting with pelvic exams or ultrasound procedures
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Knowledge of OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards
