Mechanic Type C/ Entry Level Mechanic
Description

 

The Mechanic C  is an entry level technician responsible for assisting in maintenance and repair of company equipment under direct supervision.  This role focuses on learning, executing basic mechanic task, and supporting higher-level mechanics.

Requirements

  

Basic Maintenance Duties

  • Oil and filter changes
  • Fluid checks and top -offs
  • Tire inspections , rotation, repairs and replacement
  • Lubrication of components

Basic Repairs


  • Lights, alarms, fuses, and switches


Shop Support


  • Clean and organize work areas
  • Clean body from Asphalt FC5 using excavator
  • Watch yard during shift
  • conduct yard patrols three times per night

 Work Schedule 


  • Night Shift (required)
  • Typical schedule:  Tuesday to Saturday , approximately 8:00 pm to 6:00 am 
  •  Training will be conducted during the day, Monday to Friday  from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Candidates must be available to attend the daytime training schedule before transitioning to the night shift. 


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 -75 lbs pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and rain
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
  • Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments
  • Ability to enter and exit trucks and heavy equipment safely
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Good vision and hearing for safety and equipment inspections
  • Ability to work day, night, weekends, and overtime as needed.
