Position Summary
We are looking for a System Administrator to help maintain and optimize our R&D IT infrastructure. You will handle monitoring, incident response, systems administration, cloud operations, and automation — keeping our environment stable, secure, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Monitoring & Incident Response
· Monitor network, server, and storage systems for performance, availability, and security.
· Respond to escalated alerts and incidents; perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
· Maintain system integrity through proactive monitoring and patching.
Infrastructure Maintenance
- Set up and monitor infrastructure alerts; triage, resolve, and respond to escalated incidents as needed.
- Administer user accounts, monitor endpoints, alerts, and patch workflows through the NinjaOne RMM platform.
- Manage OS/firmware image lifecycles, asset inventory, and software license compliance.
- Maintain backup schedules and recovery testing using SQL Backup Master.
- Provision and manage AWS cloud services & resources including S3 storage.
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure: firewalls, cellular gateways, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Build and maintain scripts and automation workflows to reduce manual effort.
- Document systems, configurations, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and support IT projects and technology upgrades
- API setup and integration to facilitate data sharing of different systems
Experience and Education
- Experience with RMM tools, and remote management.
- Working knowledge of AWS services (S3, IAM).
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wireless, and firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to clearly document processes.
- Experience managing devices and servers (Windows and/or Linux environments).
- Vulnerability management experience
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field
Accepted in lieu of a degree:
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Cloud, Security, or Network+, CCNA, AWS, Azure certs)
- Equivalent hands-on work experience (3–5 years for this type of role
