What you’ll do…
We are seeking a disciplined and technically strong Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance execution at an assigned ERock power generation facility. This role is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing maintenance organization that ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all generation and balance-of-plant equipment.
This position is site-based and accountable for maintenance strategy, planning, and execution, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. The Maintenance Manager establishes maintenance processes, develops personnel, and ensures all work is executed to standard with a focus on reliability and performance.
This role operates within ERock’s management model, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and corporate functional teams to support long-term asset performance and operational success.
This role reports to the Site Manager at the assigned site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supervising Maintenance personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all maintenance activities.
- Establishing and managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and availability.
- Developing and maintaining work planning, scheduling, and execution processes to ensure timely and effective maintenance delivery.
- Monitoring equipment performance, identifying failure trends, and driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring all maintenance work is properly documented within the CMMS, including work orders, history, and asset data.
- Coordinating planned outages, forced outages, and routine maintenance activities, ensuring availability of parts, tooling, and resources.
- Promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture, including adherence to PPE, LOTO, and environmental requirements.
- Managing contractor activities related to maintenance, ensuring alignment with site safety and performance expectations.
- Partnering with Operations and Engineering to prioritize work, communicate equipment status, and support troubleshooting efforts.
- Supporting development and implementation of maintenance procedures, inspection protocols, and work instructions.
- Managing maintenance budgets, contracts, and resource allocation to support cost-effective execution.
- Supporting inventory and material management to ensure availability of critical spare parts and consumables.
- Supporting training and development of maintenance personnel to build technical capability and bench strength.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, and operational requirements.
- Providing clear and timely reporting to the Site Manager and corporate leadership.
Role Scope & Leadership Expectations
- This role is responsible for full ownership of maintenance execution and the development of the maintenance organization. The Maintenance Manager sets expectations for quality, safety, and performance across all maintenance activities.
- Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge, planning discipline, and the ability to drive consistency in execution across a complex operating environment. The Maintenance Manager is expected to identify gaps, improve processes, and elevate team capability over time.
- This role serves as a key interface between site maintenance execution and corporate functional teams, ensuring alignment with company standards while maintaining ownership of site performance.
Required Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance within power generation or a similar industrial environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in maintenance operations.
- Strong understanding of maintenance programs, planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and system use.
Preferred Skills:
- Have experience leading maintenance organizations in power generation or heavy industrial environments.
- Have strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment systems.
- Are highly organized and execution-focused, with strong planning and scheduling discipline.
- Prioritize safety and consistently reinforce standards and expectations.
- Are proactive in identifying equipment risks and driving reliability improvements.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Take ownership of performance and continuously look for ways to improve maintenance execution.
- Work effectively across teams and build strong cross-functional relationships.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in industrial and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, humidity, and cold.
- Regular presence in operating areas with exposure to mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate the site for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety standards.
