We’re seeking a motivated Lab Analyst II to support trace metals analysis in our environmental laboratory located in Reading, PA.


This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys hands-on analytical testing, laboratory instrumentation, and producing accurate, high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment.



What You’ll Do

  • Perform sample preparation, trace metals analysis, and QA/QC testing in accordance with EPA methods, SOPs, and regulatory standards 
  • Review, validate, and document analytical data within LIMS and escalate discrepancies or abnormal findings as needed      
  • Perform analytical calculations and assist with preparation of laboratory reports and documentation 
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ICP and/or ICP-MS instrumentation and laboratory equipment 
  • Support QA/QC programs, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated laboratory environment 
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to meet turnaround times and operational demands 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline
  • 2+ years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience, including sample digestion, titration, and mercury analysis, with proficiency in at least one area required 
  • Demonstrated experience with ICP and/or ICP-MS instrumentation 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and LIMS systems


Work Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site position following a Monday - Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Ability to work outside of scheduled hours, including evenings or weekends, as required to meet operational or workload needs
