Paint Technician
Description

 

The Work

  • Surface preparation, masking, and priming
  • Mix and match paint to achieve OEM color standards
  • Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and blend finishes
  • Final finish work — buffing, polishing, and quality inspection
  • Keep the booth and equipment clean and production-ready

What We're Looking For

  • Technical school OR 3+ years of automotive paint experience
  • Strong color matching and blending skills
  • Experience with waterborne and solvent-based systems
  • I-CAR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commission-based flat rate pay with a guaranteed weekly minimum

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment with noise, odors, and paint fumes
  • Respirator fit required
