Job Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor provides daily operational leadership and coordination of the facilities department, including maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping functions. This position is responsible for supervising staff, assigning and prioritizing daily work, monitoring completion of tasks, and ensuring that facilities operations run efficiently and consistently across the Longview campus.
The Facilities Supervisor serves as the primary point of coordination between frontline staff and the Facilities Director, ensuring that work requests, staffing needs, and operational issues are communicated clearly and resolved in a timely manner. This role focuses on execution, workflow management, and staff supervision, while strategic planning, regulatory compliance, infrastructure systems, safety oversight, and capital planning are managed by the Facilities Director.
Compensation: $26.00-$34.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Schedule Considerations: 40hrs/wk. On-call rotation and occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide daily supervision, direction, and support to Facilities Technicians and Housekeeping staff, including the Lead Housekeeper
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor completion of work orders, cleaning schedules, maintenance tasks, and service requests
- Coordinate daily staffing coverage, workflow assignments, and task distribution across facilities and housekeeping teams
- Ensure timely completion of routine maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, cleaning schedules, and facility work assignments
- Serve as the primary communication link between Facilities staff and the Facilities Director regarding operational needs, staffing issues, and work status updates
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to support quality and efficiency
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees in coordination with the Facilities Director
- Support ongoing staff training related to housekeeping standards, maintenance procedures, and general safety practices as directed
- Ensure compliance with established internal procedures and standards for cleanliness, maintenance, and service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance and housekeeping supplies and coordinate replenishment needs with the Facilities Director or designated procurement process
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, task completion, and departmental activity using computerized systems (CMMS or equivalent)
- Assist in scheduling staff and managing daily and weekly coverage needs for both maintenance and housekeeping operations
- Identify and report facility issues, safety concerns, equipment failures, and urgent maintenance needs to the Facilities Director for resolution
- Support coordination of contractors and vendors as directed by the Facilities Director, without independent contracting authority
- Ensure staff follow safe work practices, proper use of tools and equipment, and established infection control procedures
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately to the Facilities Director
- Support emergency response activities by coordinating staff and executing operational instructions from the Facilities Director
- Perform hands-on maintenance or housekeeping tasks as needed to support workflow and operational needs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director
- Support cross-departmental collaboration to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff

- Must be at least 18 years of age;
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or supervisory training preferred
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, housekeeping, or related operational environment
- Minimum of 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional environments strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping operations, including general building systems and cleaning standards
- Strong ability to lead, schedule, and coordinate frontline staff in a service-oriented environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and leadership
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage daily operational demands in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation and professionalism in a senior living environment
- Ability to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately to leadership
- Basic proficiency with computers and work order or maintenance management systems preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required
- Ability to respond appropriately to operational issues and support emergency coordination efforts as directed
