Description

Garner Foods is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to support and oversee daily warehouse operations, including the safe and accurate movement, storage, staging, and distribution of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.

This role is responsible for helping lead warehouse associates, supporting inventory accuracy, coordinating material flow, reinforcing safety and food safety expectations, and ensuring warehouse execution supports production readiness, customer satisfaction, and operational goals.


What You’ll Do

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, loading, shipping, transfers, and distribution.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production to identify shortages, surpluses, upcoming product demand, or large product pulls.
  • Review production schedules from an inventory and order fulfillment perspective and communicate concerns or recommendations.
  • Lead, coach, train, and support warehouse associates to meet safety, accuracy, productivity, and documentation expectations.
  • Maintain high standards for inventory transactions, documentation, product identification, and order fulfillment accuracy.
  • Ensure PIT/forklift equipment maintenance, inspection, and service records remain current and up to date.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, including order errors, damages, inventory discrepancies, and shipment concerns.
  • Support process improvements related to material flow, space utilization, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

A successful Logistics Supervisor is organized, safety-focused, accountable, and able to lead people while managing the pace and accuracy of warehouse operations. This person understands that warehouse execution affects inventory accuracy, production readiness, customer satisfaction, food safety, product integrity, and business performance.



Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, inventory control, or related operational experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, lead, or people-leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, train, and hold team members accountable.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Understanding of food manufacturing environments, including GMP and safety standards.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements


This position works in a food manufacturing and warehouse environment and may include exposure to forklifts, pallet jacks, docks, racking, transport vehicles, production areas, noise, wet floors, and non-climate-controlled conditions. The role may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, and other physical activities associated with warehouse supervision and operational support.

All employees are expected to follow company safety, food safety, GMP, PPE, PIT/forklift, housekeeping, and site requirements. The Logistics Supervisor is expected to reinforce these expectations with the warehouse team and escalate safety, product, inventory, equipment, or food safety concerns promptly.
