Job Summary

Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids is seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Supervisor to lead daily kitchen operations and support the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. This role is responsible for supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring efficient and consistent service across all outlets.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during assigned shifts
  • Support the General Manager in menu execution and food preparation
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to brand and hotel quality standards
  • Train, mentor, and coach kitchen staff to improve performance and teamwork
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and cost control
  • Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation
  • Assist with scheduling and labor management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Step in and assist with cooking during peak periods as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of kitchen experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe certification preferred)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary degree or certificate is a plus


Salary Description
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
