Description

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the total maintenance and repair of the building and

grounds. General management, coordination and supervision includes plumbing, masonry, carpentry,

painting, electrical, refrigeration, automobile maintenance, air conditioning, flooring and landscaping. The

Maintenance Coordinator ensures that policies and procedures related to facility maintenance,

housekeeping, waste management, storage, emergency preparedness and fire safety are implemented and

maintained consistently.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform and complete each essential duty

satisfactorily, have excellent communication and language skills which enables them to successfully perform

and complete their duties and interact effectively with residents, guests, family members, regulatory officials

and sub-contractors.  In addition, the individual must have a working knowledge of OSHA, construction and experience performing and/or coordinating building repairs.  


Actively participates in hiring qualified staff and provides training to new hires for the housekeeping department.  Assists with developing staffing schedules for the housekeeping department to ensure that residents’ needs are met, and staffing levels meet budget and census requirements.


The following certifications, training and diplomas are required: high school diploma or GED. Employee must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
