Job Summary: The Paralegal works with clients and internal legal staff to prepare and organize files for in-house or attorney collection services. Tasks include reviewing documentation, performing records searches, and setting up new accounts.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to obtain information and documentation for new collection matters
  • Review client documentation for sufficiency and identify potential issues
  • Set up and review collection matters in NCS Credit’s internal system
  • Communicate with clients and resolve issues related to new placements
  • Coordinate with NCS Credit’s Construction Services Group to review documentation related to any potential mechanic’s lien or bond claim rights in a collections matter
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, experience, certifications

  • Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in a professional legal setting

Physical and mental demands

  • Frequent typing and use of keyboard/mouse
  • Prolonged sitting while viewing a computer monitor
  • Near visual acuity
  • Ability to present information clearly and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to management, clients, and other staff members
