As a Damage Recovery Representative, you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation and collection of car rental claims. The successful candidate will excel at dealing with customer conversations regarding damages that have occurred to their rental vehicle, have well-developed communication skills, good judgment and problem-solving abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine whether packages assigned by the Claims Manager should be classified as claims or deferred damage.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage claim files and/or deferred damage packages, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly organized.
  • Report claims promptly to appropriate parties, including third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, and liability carriers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and third parties to obtain necessary insurance and payment information and prepare and send appropriate inquiry and acknowledgment correspondence.
  • Coordinate vehicle repairs by arranging placement with repair facilities and proactively following up to ensure timely completion.
  • Process invoices for active claims as well as sale and auction units, ensuring proper documentation and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Apply knowledge of State, Federal, and applicable case laws, along with insurance practices, to evaluate claims and support recovery efforts.
  • Perform claims-related administrative duties, including managing payment plans and conducting follow-ups with TPAs to ensure timely processing and resolution.
