Orthodontic Assistant – Join Our Team!

Meyer Dana Orthodontics is looking for a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! We are a fast-paced, multi-location orthodontic practice committed to providing exceptional care and creating confident smiles.

This position plays a key role in creating an outstanding patient experience while supporting our doctors and clinical team.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures 
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas 
  • Take digital X-rays, photos, and impressions/scans 
  • Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed 
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care 
  • Ensure patient charts and clinical notes are completed accurately 
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment 
  • Provide a welcoming and supportive experience for patients and families 

Qualifications

  • Dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate! ) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask 
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the orthodontic team
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
