Position Summary


We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our skilled nursing and long-term care community. The Admissions Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral sources, helping guide individuals through the admission process with professionalism and empathy.


This role is essential in ensuring smooth transitions into our community while maintaining excellent customer service, strong referral relationships, and compliance with all admission procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all resident admissions and intake processes 
  • Serve as the primary liaison between hospitals, families, referral partners, and internal departments 
  • Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families 
  • Verify insurance benefits, payer sources, and required documentation 
  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate placement and care planning 
  • Maintain accurate admission records and census tracking 
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and referral opportunities 
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with hospitals, case managers, physicians, and community partners 
  • Assist with marketing and occupancy development initiatives 
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and company policies
Requirements


  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in admissions, healthcare coordination, skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare marketing preferred 
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance verification processes preferred 
  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
