ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to Human Resources Director
STATUS: Nonexempt, Full-time- Hybrid schedule
JOB SUMMARY
A human resources administrative assistant is responsible for performing administrative tasks such as gathering and processing necessary documentation, arranging schedules, and any other duties related to the operations of the human resources dept.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Support human resources department by screening, including pre-employment screening and onboarding.
- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or request.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Perform orientation and update records of new staff.
- Tracks recruitment and job postings.
- Provides orientation for new employee by providing information packets, reviewing company policies, gathering withholding and other payroll information, and obtaining signatures for documents.
- Completes Forms I-9 (E-Verify)
- Administrative functions of HR, including maintenance of personnel filing.
- Enter and update a variety or personnel information on the computer following establish HRIS guidelines.
- Prepares purchase orders for drug testing and background check and any other PO human resource department.
- Organize/Planning of holiday events
- Employee engagement with updating breakroom board announcement monthly.
- Orders business cards and company attire for the organization.
- Maintains and posts birthday and anniversary list.
- Serves as occasional backup to company receptionists.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by HR director.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative assistant experience required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources Department preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

- Some local and regional travel required

- This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- Noise level is generally quiet to moderate.
