The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the primary financial partner for our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys partnering directly with plant leadership to drive operational performance, cost efficiency, and financial accuracy.
You will take ownership of the plant’s financial integrity, ensuring every pound of raw material and every hour of labor is accurately accounted for. This is a highly operational role that combines strong financial acumen with hands-on collaboration across manufacturing, supply chain, and plant operations teams.
Manufacturing industry experience is required for this role. Candidates with experience in food manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, consumer products, packaging, or related production environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

How You'll Make an Impact:
- Cost Accounting & Variance Analysis - Oversee the standard costing system, including the development and maintenance of labor and overhead rates. Perform deep-dive analysis on weekly/monthly production variances (yield, usage, and efficiency) to identify root causes.
- Reporting & Financial Analysis - Deliver accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting and analyze plant performance metrics and provide actionable insights to operations leadership.
- Inventory Integrity & Control - Lead monthly inventory reconciliation processes for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Coordinate physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audit support activities to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
- Month-End Close Management - Manage the manufacturing close process including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and plant-level P&L reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP and adherence to corporate close timelines.
- Operational Budgeting & Forecasting - Partner closely with Plant Directors and Operations leadership to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts aligned with production capacity and operational goals.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Analytical & Technical Expertise - Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial data.
- Advanced Accounting & Reconciliation - Strong ability to reconcile complex data sets across multiple systems. You possess a "zero-error" mindset and the technical rigor to ensure accurate P&L at month end.
- Communication Skills - Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail - Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost components and analysis and the approach to review bills of materials (BOMs) and labor routings for accuracy.
- Operational Partnering - Ability to translate complex financial data into simple communication for production supervisors and plant leadership.
- Problem-Solving - Proactive in identifying operational inefficiencies and proposing cost-saving initiatives (e.g., waste reduction or labor optimization).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
- 2–5 years in Manufacturing Finance or Cost Accounting, with a heavy emphasis on financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst in a manufacturing or food industry setting.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel modeling, Power BI.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
