The Chief of Staff Role:
The Chief of Staff (CoS) position will blend day-to-day operational support and strategic ownership. The CoS will manage two c-suite leaders time, communications, and logistics while driving initiatives and keeping leaders aligned.
- Trace and drive execution of C-suite level top priorities and special projects, ensuring decisions made in meetings turn into completed work
- Own the company’s operating rhythm with weekly team standups, off-sites, leadership meetings, and planning cycles. Identify operational friction and collaborate within the team to alleviate concerns
- Own up to two c-suite leader calendars, acting as a filter and prioritization layer for requests, invitations, and scheduling conflicts
- Coordinate relevant C-suite division cross-functional meetings, strategy sessions, off-sites, and executive briefings
- Draft, edit, and manage relevant C-suite division correspondence; coordinate travel logics; prepare agendas and meeting materials for internal and external meetings
- Support coordination of conferences, trade shows, and industry events (e.g. AUSA, DSEI, SOFIC)
- Maintain an organized library of company assets including past performance documents, organizational charts, and boilerplate content
- Ensure division staff maintain compliance with relevant security protocols and clearance requirements (e.g. managing visit authorizations)
- Manage confidential information with care and discretion and serve as a proxy for the executive when required
This is a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory role reporting to the C-suite executives. This role is remote with travel up to 15% of the time.
Qualifications You Bring:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operations, chief of staff, or executive support in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Communications
- Extreme organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
- Strong, versatile writing
- High emotional intelligence and good judgement
- Proactive and self-directed
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience with financial modeling and data analysis
- High proficiency with Microsoft suite
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in a start-up environment
