Day in the Life:

• Operate and manage the Josper charcoal oven and grill station with precision and consistency

• Prepare premium meats, seafood, and vegetables using live-fire cooking techniques

• Maintain proper fire management, cooking temperatures, and fuel efficiency throughout service

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team on menu development and seasonal features

• Ensure all dishes meet presentation, quality, and timing standards

• Train and mentor line cooks on Josper cooking methods and kitchen best practices

• Monitor food quality, prep levels, and inventory for the grill station

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with health and safety standards

• Support high-volume dinner services while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture


Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in high-volume or upscale culinary environments

• Prior experience working with a Josper oven, live-fire grill, or charcoal cooking equipment preferred

• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, meat temperatures, and fire management

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen

• Passion for hospitality, food quality, and guest experience

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

• Flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

• Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain one prior to employment
