Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports including required journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and credit card transactions, and resolve discrepancies on time. 
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. (Sales, use, fuel, etc.)
  • Maintain & account for fixed assets and facilities under construction.
  • Support daily activities of the Accounts Payable department (“backup”)
  • Conduct financial accounting for subsidiaries (Sunrise Transportation, Sunrise AFB)
  • Participate in the year-end audit process
  • Completing various reporting requirements (Dept. of Ag., commerce, etc.) 
Requirements
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled at multitasking and meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
