Catering Captain

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Captain to join our dynamic hospitality team at The Confluence Hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing catering service operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team and contribute to memorable events and gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and supervise catering service staff to ensure smooth and efficient event execution

- Set up and break down catering stations, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared and maintained

- Greet guests professionally, address their needs, and provide excellent customer service throughout the event

- Monitor food presentation, quality, and safety standards in accordance with health regulations

- Collaborate with event planners and clients to understand specific requirements and customize service accordingly

- Manage timing and logistics to ensure timely delivery and service of food and beverages

- Handle any on-site issues promptly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the catering area before, during, and after events

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in catering, hospitality, or event service roles

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during peak event times

- Professional appearance and positive attitude

- Ability to adapt to different event styles and client preferences

- Ability to stand for long periods of time

Scheduling:

- Open Availability

- 20 - 40 hours per week

- Coded as Part Time
