Garden Event Leads provide hospitality and deliver excellent guest experience for Private and Public Garden Events. Leads are trained in all aspects of event service and are responsible for day-of execution of events. Compensation includes hourly pay at $15/hr plus gratuity.

- You are the client's Garden Liaison for the day, communicating between client, coordinator, vendors, & Garden staff
- Duties also include - Event Set/Strike, Bartending, and opening/closing the Garden
- Support smooth event operations while maintaining a welcoming and professional guest experience

Key Responsibilities
- Work in a team environment to execute both private and public events at the Garden.
- Work and interact professionally with all levels of management and staff of the Garden.
- Oversee vendor load-in and load out, including set-up; break down and cleanup of the event.
- Effectively interact with clients (internal & external), caterers, wedding planners, etc. ensuring excellent customer service and a top-quality experience with the Garden.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively across various Garden departments.
- Responsible for the completion of event paperwork, incident reports, and the handling of any other issues pertaining to vendors, the event, safety of individuals attending and the maintenance of the Garden facility from damage.
- Monitor event activities and behavior to ensure the client and event attendees are satisfied.
- Assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary.
- Ensure compliance of the Garden’s cashier policy.
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sale transactions and maintain proper payment accountabilities and balance banks at the end of shift.
- Handle set-up, break down and clean-up of assigned point of sale terminal and bar.
- Properly record all transactions via the point-of-sale system, confirm order, inform guests of the amounts owed, process payments, and provide products sold.
- Notify supervisor of any inventory deficiency, shortage, spill, point of sale issue, need for void/refund or incidents with guests.
- Handle all preparation of bar products, mixing ingredients, and serving drinks.
- Ensure solid product knowledge of all items being sold.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, and adhere to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Perform clean up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.
- Perform breakdown of all product and supplies that are pulled and return product to the appropriate storage location.
- Must complete alcohol service training – TIPS certification or ServSafe Alcohol
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Organizational skills are essential
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to change
- Attention to detail and excellent math skills
- Demonstrate excellent listening and clear speaking skills
- Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to report to work on a changing schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Must have exceptional communications skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive orders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift
- Position occasionally requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to work outside at times, including in the elements during all seasons
