Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Summary

Lead Manufacturing   department to create and maintain a behavior-based safety culture, produce   quality products and maintain and increase plant efficiencies. 

 

Essential Functions 

 Responsible for safety of associates and implementing safety procedures established throughout the      plant.

  • Manage, Develop, and motivate direct reporting staff
  • Monitor, measure, and report on production related process performance, general issues
  • To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes      and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand.
  • Maintain and enforce housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
  • Be able to make appropriate decisions involving quality, or scheduling while following the companies      organizational structure.
  • Communicate with the plant superintendent any changes communicated from crews.
  • Enforce and discipline any associates breaking our companies policies (i.e. attendance, quality, safety, associate conduct). 
  • Maintain and authorize employee time cards on a daily basis
  • Conduct new employee evaluations at the end of each week within their first month of employment 
  • Responsible for the completion of RGAs 
  • Report and communicate order shortages
  • Responsible for correctness of production and quality reporting
  • Duties may vary depending on location

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a repeatedly on a regular basis

- Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.

- Bend, stand, squat, twist repeatedly.

Requirements

   

Requirements/Qualifications

Education:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent 

Experience 

  • Packaging industry experience preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or training experience
