The Supply Planner plays a critical role in translating customer demand into executable production and
supply plans. This role ensures alignment between forecasted demand, production capacity, material
availability, and inventory targets to support high service levels and efficient plant operations.
Working closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Warehouse and Quality; the Supply Planner
manages the end-to-end planning process including forecasting review, production planning, capacity
planning, and inventory management. The role also supports the monthly S&OP process and proactively
identifies supply risks and mitigation strategies.
Role and Responsibilities:
Production & Supply Planning
· Convert demand forecasts into production plans.
· Monitor inventory levels to identify production schedule adjustments.
· Balance production capacity, lead times, and inventory targets to maintain service levels while
optimizing plant efficiency.
· Execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for all lines; distribute and oversee the
execution of the finite schedule, ensuring all requirements in the MPS are planned and
produced in an optimized fashion in the weekly planning horizon.
· Identify capacity constraints and recommend adjustments to scheduling.
Inventory Management
· Maintain appropriate inventory levels of finished goods to support service targets.
· Monitor and track inventory levels, service levels, surplus/obsolete inventory and any other
relevant KPIs to identify variance from goals.
· Support warehouse and logistics teams with inventory visibility and planning insights.
Cross-Functional Coordination
· Work closely with Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Logistics to resolve supply issues.
· Support new product launches, and new SKU number introductions by integrating them into
planning systems.
· Provide clear communication on supply risks, recovery plans, and customer impacts.
Planning Systems & Continuous Improvement
· Maintain planning data in ERP/MRP systems including forecasts, lead times, and planning parameters.
· Track and report key planning metrics including forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory performance. Compliance & Food Safety
· Ensure all activities align with SQF, USDA, and company food safety/quality standards.
· Report any food safety or regulatory concerns promptly to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field preferred.
· Minimum 1-3 years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, inventory management or related discipline.
· Experience in food, CPG or manufacturing environment highly desirable.
· Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (Syspro and Translution experience a plus).
· Proficiency in Excel · Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements The work environment alternates between a cold production setting with concrete floors and an office. This position requires the team member to:
· Sit for an extended period at a computer.
· Stand and walk through the production floor and endure cold temperatures (38 degrees)
· Must occasionally lift/move up to 40 lbs.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000 annually. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Depending on experience and qualifications, we may offer compensation above this range.
