What you’ll do…
At ERock, we power communities and businesses by ensuring reliable energy solutions at any time, in any condition. As an Emissions Lead Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission, combining field leadership with customer-focused responsibilities to deliver operational excellence. You’ll oversee a team of skilled emissions technicians across Texas, ensuring they’re equipped, motivated, and aligned with company goals. This position is based in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert for emissions testing procedures, equipment selection and use, and emissions report creation.
- Readiness: Perform all purchasing and liaison with all vendors that service emissions testing equipment and supplies.
- Inventory Management: Ensure emissions analyzer equipment is accounted for and in calibration. Ensure a proper inventory of calibration gasses are on hand and available for testing.
- Safety First: Perform safety audits and ensure safety standards are followed.
- Technical Development: Coordinate training for technicians in safety, maintenance, and operational techniques. Be the primary trainer for emissions qualifications.
- First Point of Escalation: Mentor team members to close skill gaps and encourage professional development, provide first line of support.
- Regional Ownership: Ensure audits are conducted to ensure all aspects of technical proficiency, site preservation, vehicles maintenance, and inventory are all up to the Regional Area Manager’s and ERock’s standard.
- Working Leader: Lead from the field. Job duties include performing testing, mentoring and training others to performing testing, coordinate and execute emissions repairs, and ensure other emissions technicians are executing work within compliance requirements.
What you’ll need:
- At least 3 Years Mechanical and/or Electrical background with Emissions Testing experience
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment, or personnel to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check to ensure compliance with company standards and safe driving practices.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to finding and implementing practical solutions.
- Detail Oriented: Ability to ensure the proper resources are applied to the issue.
Preferred Skills:
- Acceptable driving record and ability to travel for business purposes.
- Physical ability to work in field environments, including adverse weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing a ladder, and performing physically demanding tasks.
