The Role:
- Builds solid relationships with partners and within organization
- Understands company services to identify and assess qualified business opportunities
- Sources, reviews, and responds to grant and other funding opportunities
- Research new funding sources at local, state, and federal levels as well as with corporate and private foundations
- Identify, compile, describe, organize, analyze, and present data and information for business projects and grant proposals
- Analyze RFP opportunities, summarize key findings, and facilitate team-based discussion with senior staff in making decisions about whether to pursue funding opportunities and coordinate response, if applicable
- Attend bidder’s conferences and technical assistance workshops as necessary
- Tracks and reports funding opportunities
Our ideal Candidate:
- Has relationships with federal, state and county funders
- 2 Years of grant writing experience
Minimum Requirements to be Considered:
- Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, English, health science, public administration, business, communications, public health or related field
- Demonstrated success in obtaining grant driven funding and proven ability to research grant prospects for proposal writing
- 2 years of grant writing experience
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications and digital research tools including AI
- Ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals. Strong editing skills.
- Ability to work well independently under pressure and manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Highly organized, self-motivated, positive and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Upholds the principles of ethical conduct
- A basic knowledge of substance use disorders and their effects on individuals, families, and communities
- Intermediate knowledge of government organization and administration
- Intermediate knowledge of foundation and government funding streams and cycles
