Job Responsibilities:


Tool and Equipment Maintenance:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of tools, fixtures, and other equipment used in the production process.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with production to ensure timely availability of required tools and equipment.

Tool Room Operations:

  • Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, maintaining accurate records and conducting regular stock checks.
  • Coordinate tool and equipment procurement activities, including sourcing, evaluation, and vendor management.
  • Monitor tool room metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate tool room processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize tool room efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
  •  1+ years experience in warehouse, tool room, or material handling preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of tools, dies, and fixtures used in production processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing tools and equipment as needed.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to tool room operations.
