Key Responsibilities:

- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit

- Introduce guests to new beers and educate them about the brewing process and major brewing vessels at the pub

- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages efficiently and accurately

- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards

- Operate with a sense of urgency to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction

- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere

- Demonstrate leadership by encouraging team cooperation and offering assistance when needed

- Uphold the brand standards and promote a positive, inclusive environment


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar customer service role

- Extensive knowledge of craft beers, brewing processes, and beverage preparation

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Strong team player with a positive attitude and leadership qualities

- Flexibility to work seasonal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR Bartender: (Performed with or without reasonable accommodation)


  • Have a positive attitude towards company, co-workers, leads, and managers, both on the clock and off clock.
  • Set up and close down Bar by assigned checklists.
  • Provide appropriately engaging bar service with an emphasis on beer knowledge, styles and an understanding of the brewing process.
  • Menu Knowledge: Know our food menu and ingredients can be substituted-upcharged.
  • Attend and Participate in monthly educational and training meetings
  • Assist other servers and bussers by Expediting food in the window or drinks from the bar when time permits.
  • Operate with the full hands in and full hands out motto.
  • Communicate with guests at the front door and beyond how service works at CFP.
  • Develop a complete knowledge of the history of the brewery, owners and origin.
  • Know the origin of each brewing vessel and its purpose.
  • Do not over-serve. Know and use the tools in watching for and identifying VIPs.
  • Study Beer Sheets, know the ABV, IBU, hops of each beer on tap.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work. Ready to work when you come on shift is the soups are known, new beers known, menu additions added to your knowledge. You know which beers we are out.
  • Exercise proper cash handling and till use.
  • Communicate with a lead/manager when a guest may be unhappy.
  • Your attitude supports the team.
  • Other duties as directed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE FOR Bartender

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Food Service experience, preferably with a Brewery-restaurant


JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR Bartender

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Certifications: OLCC Service Permit, Oregon Food Handler, Cicerone Level 1 Certified Beer Server
  • Drug Free
  • Reliable transportation for work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold, and wet environments
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
