Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned territory by developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing key customer relationships, and leading sales initiatives. This role requires a results-driven professional who can identify new business opportunities, expand existing accounts, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals.   

 

Duties and responsibilities 


Territory & Revenue Growth 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy to achieve or exceed revenue targets 
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory 
  • Expand market presence by cultivating relationships with high-potential prospects and strategic accounts 

Account Management & Customer Engagement 

  • Manage and grow relationships with key accounts to drive retention and long-term value 
  • Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, and contract negotiations 
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution 

Pipeline Management & Forecasting 

  • Maintain a robust and active sales pipeline across all stages of the sales cycle 
  • Provide accurate, timely sales forecasts and territory performance updates 
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and insights to leadership 

Market Intelligence & Strategic Input 

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy 
  • Identify emerging opportunities 

Brand Representation & Industry Presence 

  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer engagement
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets 
  • Experience managing a defined territory or region 
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills 
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships 
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience selling in the manufacturing industry 
  • Established network within assigned region 
  • Experience with complex or consultative sales cycles
