Position Summary

Ralph Scott Life Services is seeking experienced and dependable Direct Support Professionals to serve as House Leads. This leadership role is designed to provide additional oversight, consistency, and support within assigned residential homes while maintaining a person-centered approach to care.

House Leads will be assigned to a specific home or paired homes and will work closely with Direct Support Professionals, Qualified Professionals, nursing staff, and leadership to ensure high-quality services for residents and strong operational consistency within the home.

This position includes a $3.00/hour pay differential in recognition of the additional leadership and administrative responsibilities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong attendance history
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead by example and support team accountability
  • Working knowledge of medication administration procedures, documentation standards, and residential operations
  • Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively with multiple departments
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize 
  • Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license

  

Core Responsibilities

  

Home Leadership & Oversight

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned home(s)
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to DSP staff within the home
  • Promote consistency in routines, communication, and resident supports
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and person-centered environmen

Scheduling & Staffing Coordination

  • Coordinate staff scheduling coverage for call-outs and vacancies to maintain consistency for residents. Work closely with the Scheduler and the assigned QP for any changes needing to be made.
  • Communicate staffing concerns promptly to the assigned QP.
  • Assist with reducing excessive overtime and staffing disruptions when possible.

Grocery & Household Coordination

  • Ensure grocery lists are completed accurately and submitted to Finance within required timelines
  • Monitor household supply needs and communicate concerns proactively

Medication & Documentation Oversight

  • Track medication changes and ensure timely follow-through and communication
  • Monitor documentation and administrative processes for accuracy and completion
  • Assist in reducing administrative errors through direct oversight and accountability
  • Monitoring medication in order to submit the need for refill before medication runs out


Compliance & Operational Support

  • Ensure required drills, logs, and home-related compliance tasks are completed correctly and on time
  • Complete monthly preventive maintenance form
  • Support adherence to state regulations, agency policies, and quality standards
  • Identify operational concerns and communicate solutions proactively

Compensation & Schedule

  • Base DSP pay plus $3.00/hour House Lead differential
  • Full-time position
  • Assigned to designated home(s) based on organizational need
