Concrete Finishing Machine Operator / General Laborer
Nitterhouse Masonry Products, LLC (Chambersburg, PA)
Nitterhouse Masonry Products, LLC, a local manufacturing facility, has immediate openings for full-time, first shift Concrete Production Laborers in our block finishing department. This position primarily works with our concrete finishing/grinding machine to help ensure quality finished products. No experience is necessary — training will be provided.
Starting rate is $18.50/hr with potential for overtime.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday
- 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Overtime on Fridays as needed
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor concrete finishing/grinding equipment
- Inspect finished concrete products for and appearance
- Remove defective products and maintain production flow
- Stack and organize finished materials on pallets
- Keep work area and machinery clean and safe
- Assist with basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance
- Learn to operate additional plant equipment, including forklift
- Assist other departments as needed
- Follow all plant safety procedures and policies

Requirements
- No prior experience required; training provided
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and carrying up to and exceeding 50 pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
