POSITION SUMMARY


The Youth Outreach Graduate Assistant will commit to two years and work approximately 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters, will be an active part of the BCYC Missionary Team for two summers. During the school year, the Youth Outreach Graduate Assistant helps the Coordinator of Youth Outreach plan, promote, and lead the BCYC, Retreat, and Underground teams and students 


  • Providing direct support to the Director of Youth Outreach
  • Coordinating and providing leadership to the student Youth Outreach Teams
  • Collaborating with students to help prepare and execute successful youth retreats, events, and summer conferences both on campus and at parishes throughout the region throughout the academic year and during the summer
  • Providing general support to all Ministry Leadership Team members as requested, including in ministry tasks and projects other than youth outreach as needed throughout the year
  • Graduate assistants are expected to perform their duties in a professional and timely manner, including keeping a regular schedule of office hours.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in related field of study.
  • Must be accepted into a Benedictine College graduate program.

Experience

  • Familiarity with Catholic youth ministry preferred.
  • Experience with a college ministry youth outreach team is ideal.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The ideal candidate will be familiar with and embrace Benedictine College Ministry’s vision and mission.

Compensation 

  • Full tuition waiver (books and fees not included) with completion and approval of Tuition Benefit Form each semester.  
  • Room, board, and a reasonable stipend during summer months.
