Overview
Client First Technologies currently is seeking a Technology Specialist in support of our government customer. The Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting the ongoing operation and adoption of a government information system that supports human research protection oversight. The Technology Specialist monitors system usage, conducts periodic end-user training and system demonstrations, and maintains a secure development and training environment. This individual develops and maintains custom solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform within a secure government Microsoft 365 cloud environment and contributes to the full software development lifecycle under an Agile Scrum methodology.

- Monitor system usage and user activity to identify data quality issues, anomalous patterns, and process or workflow problems, and report findings to the government
- Monitor system health and availability, and support restoration of normal operations following outages or service degradation
- Conduct periodic end-user training, including refresher training, for stakeholder staff
- Conduct demonstrations of the system for stakeholders
- Coordinate stakeholder outreach and assist in planning and scheduling online training sessions
- Maintain a secure development and training environment that supports controlled development, testing, and deployment
- Develop, test, and maintain custom solutions within approved environments using authorized Microsoft 365 cloud tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint Online
- Develop and maintain user training materials, online “how-to” guides, and embedded in-app guidance
Qualifications
- No specific degree is required as a minimum for this position; a relevant degree is a highly rated, preferred criterion (see Additional Preferred Criteria below)
- Four (4) years of experience developing and supporting management information systems, and experience in the phases of product lifecycle, to include analysis and design, coding, testing, documentation, and configuration management
- Experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting MS Power Platform applications
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as Project and Adobe Acrobat
- Must meet the requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, the “DON Information Assurance Workforce Management Manual” (generally, a current CompTIA Security+ CE certification)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Current and active Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) certification, or an equivalent successor certification
- Experience working with DoW or DON systems and management
- Experience with Federal, DoW, and DON human research protection requirements
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Occasional travel and overtime may be required
