Behavior Specialist Technician
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Location: Chenango County
Pay: $20.94 - $26.00 per hour
Behavior Specialist Technician is responsible for performing various tasks related to behavior support, including implementation, tracking, and training. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities are included, but are not limited to:
- Collect and record data based on Behavior Support Plans and/or Monitoring Plans
- Carry out Clinical assessments and other administrative duties
- Provide Crisis Intervention as needed
- Provide direct support modeling strategies used in Behavior Support Plans
- Maintain tracking for caseload as assigned
- Attend Life Plan Meetings/PPT Meetings/Psych appointments to resent information related to behavior/symptom tracking
- Assist in developing/running groups
- Consult with appropriate behavior specialist regarding individuals on selected caseloads
- Encourage and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments in the company.
- Completes and/or approves required documentation in compliance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Maintains proper files of all required documents.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience working within OPWDD-funded services or in a comparable human services setting, as approved by the agency.
- Possess a valid driver’s license acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
