POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Insurance Verification Specialist will be required to verify insurance coverage of patients across multiple clients. They will be reviewing disputed self-pay accounts and confirming if the patients had eligible insurance coverage to cover their services, using multiple host systems, portals, as well as making calls to the various payers to confirm eligibility, if a claim is on file, and timely filing. They will also be responsible for reviewing host systems, adding coverage, and electronically billing the claims once the information is verified.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review disputed self-pay accounts
• Confirm patient eligibility of insurance coverage for their services, using multiple host systems and portals
• Calls to various payers to confirm eligibility, if a claim is on file and timely filing
• Review host systems, add coverage, and electronically bill the claims once the information is verified.
• Other assigned duties and needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• EPIC knowledge is a plus
• Prior experience with updating coverage, registration, and electronically billing.
